New market share for fixed-network operators in Spain after Vodafone deal to buy Ono
According to Reuters , shareholders of cable company Ono  are close to reaching a deal with Britain's Vodafone  on an offer to buy the Spanish group for about 7.2 billion euros ($10 billion) including debt.    This would change current telecom market share in Spain both for fixed and mobile telephony.     According to last  CNMC  report, on 3Q 2013 fixed-network  subscribers per operator were:     Telefonica (8,253k subscribers, 53.7% market share)  Ono  (1,793k subscribers, 11.7% market share)  Orange (1,695k subscribers, 11.0% market share)  Jazztel (1,558k subscribers, 10.1% market share)  Vodafone  (1,208k subscribers, 7.9% market share)  Euskaltel (332k subscribers, 2.2% market share)  R Cable (257k subscribers, 1.7% market share)  Telecable (119k subscribers, 0.8% market share)  Rest (140k subscribers, 0.9% market share)        After this deal, market share for fixed-telephony would be as follows:    Telefonica (8,253k subscribers, 53.7% market share)  Vodafone+Ono  (3,0...
